The search is expected to continue Friday for a Shakopee man who reportedly went fishing Wednesday on the Minnesota River.

Emergency workers on Thursday searched the river and surrounding area for 37-year-old Eric Michael Lindquist and will return Friday morning, Scott County Sgt. Adam Pirri said.

Shakopee police said Lindquist was last seen by a family member at 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday. It's believed he went fishing on the river, walking from his home to Memorial Park and then to the river. Police don't suspect foul play.

Lindquist is described as white, 6 feet tall, 180 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. Police say he may have been wearing a dark blue or black jacket with a hood and baggy bluejeans.

Anyone with information about Lindquist's whereabouts is urged to call police at 952-233-9400.
