Continued: Anderson: Lake of the Woods shows why it's alluring

  • Article by: DENNIS ANDERSON , Star Tribune
  • Last update: August 18, 2013 - 11:29 PM

Our last morning on the lake produced no muskies, only the one follow and then another of Dominic’s baits.

By 10 a.m. or so we were back in camp loading the boat with our supplies.

The return trip to Kenora, Ontario, on the mainland, would take about 45 minutes. Again the big lake was as smooth as a table top. But it was cool.

All week the lake’s nights, mornings and evenings had been cool, and still were.

Cool in so many ways.
