Deer herd crashes into Moorhead mall

MOORHEAD, MINN. - Shoppers at the Moorhead Center Mall got a surprise on Saturday when six disoriented white-tailed deer went crashing into windows and doorways at the mall.
Two deer died -- one when it crashed through a window and another that was hit by a minivan just outside the stores. Glik's manager Nikki Miller said that she was upset by the sight of an injured deer on the ground but that police responded immediately. The surviving deer made their way back to the river as officers arrived.
One of the dead deer was taken for food and one was taken to the zoo to feed the wolves.
