DNR officer opposes snowmobile bill

Imagine how hard it would be for law enforcement to track you down if you could remove the license plate from your car. DNR enforcement officer Rodman Smith says a proposal to replace snowmobile registration numbers with a decal on snowmobiles would have the same effect for his officers trying to track snowmobiles. The change is being considered as part of HF 1796-a bill to make snowmobile registrations and trail pass purchases easier.
