ALEXANDRIA AREA
Look to lakes Ida, Miltona, and Le Homme Dieu for walleyes. Generally speaking, these fish are setting up in their winter locations deeper during the day and up shallower during low-light periods.
ANNANDALE AREA
Clearwater Lake and Cedar Lake are worth noting for walleyes in 15 to 20 feet.
BATTLE LAKE
Fishing pressure is minimal with just a few reports coming off Otter Tail Lake for walleyes in 10 to 12 feet or 40 to 50 feet with sucker minnows.
BEMIDJI AREA
The few anglers who continue to work Lake Bemidji and Lake Plantagenet are catching walleyes on minnows. Plantagenet also gave up a few muskies this week and the bigger pike are up shallow chasing tullibees on Lake Bemidji.
BLACKDUCK AREA
Despite "fishable" weather over the weekend, there wasn't anyone on the lakes.
BRAINERD/NISSWA AREA
Shiner minnows continue to produce walleyes in 18 to 30 feet for the few anglers still fishing Gull Lake, North Long Lake, and Pelican Lake. Crappies also remain an option on most lakes as they start setting up in their traditional, winter deep holes.
CHISAGO AREA
The channels and current areas on area lakes continue to produce walleyes via minnows. South Lindstrom Lake also has kicked out some walleyes below the Dinner Bell.
DETROIT LAKES
Muskies are hitting on minnows in shallow water on Big Detroit Lake. A few walleyes are coming off Big Cormorant Lake in 25 to 27 feet of water during the day, but these fish have been most active in shallow water during low-light periods of the day.
DULUTH AREA
Although fishing pressure has ben rather limited, a few walleyes and crappies can be had at Fish Lake in 10 to 14 feet of water.
