Gary Roach: Targeting deep-swimming walleyes

Last update: August 21, 2007 - 5:56 PM

Because I'm targeting deep-swimming walleyes with crankbaits right now, here is a trick to enhance that lure and catch more fish. Take half of a nightcrawler and thread it onto the front treble hook on the big-lipped, deep divers. This is a great way to add scent trail to get the fish to commit to striking after it spots that lure wobble by. Make sure to check the action next to the boat after adding the meat.
