The Lynx have lost three in a row at Target Center. Center Nicky Anosike is averaging a WNBA-high 3.11 steals, and her 7.3 rebounds rank fourth in the league.
Mercury at a glance: Phoenix (14-6) built a two-game lead in the Western Conference by going 8-2 in July. One of those losses was at home to the Lynx 99-86 on July 22, when Diana Taurasi was serving the second game of a suspension for drunken driving. The other loss was Thursday, when Atlanta routed the Mercury 106-76 after taking a 15-0 lead. Taurasi is averaging 20.7 points per game, Cappie Pondexter 19.6. They rank second and third, respectively, in WNBA scoring.
