Lynx at a glance: Minnesota (4-3) plays five of its next six games at home, starting tonight. The Lynx are reeling a bit after one-sided losses last week to Phoenix and Seattle and the news that Seimone Augustus (knee) is out for the season. The team's defense has been soft, especially against three-point shooters. Point guards Kelly Miller and Renee Montgomery are averaging a mere three assists per game between them.
Liberty at a glance: New York has beaten San Antonio (77-61) and Atlanta (93-81) in its past two games after an 0-3 start. The Liberty's top scorers are 6-1 forward Shameka Christon and 6-2 center Janel McCarville, who are averaging 16.5 points and 13.2, respectively. McCarville, the former Gophers standout, also averages 5.2 rebounds and 1.4 blocks and is shooting 57 percent from the field, all team highs. New York is 11-6 all-time vs. the Lynx, 1-1 last season.
