Lynx try to stay hot vs. Aces

Preview: The Lynx are coming off a 83-72 victory over at Phoenix on Friday. The Lynx (6-6) led from start to finish as they avenged a 95-85 loss to Phoenix on June 1 and won their season-high third consecutive game. The Aces, in their first season in Las Vegas after relocating from San Antonio, are coming off an 88-78 victory over New York at home on Friday. It was the second consecutive victory for Las Vegas (5-9). The Aces, coached by former Timberwolves assistant coach Bill Laimbeer, are 4-2 since opening the season 1-7.

Players to watch: Lynx G Lindsay Whalen, who had not scored more than eight points since scoring 17 in the season opener, had 15 points and a season-high five steals Friday. F Maya Moore scored 23 vs. the Mercury, two shy of her season high. Moore is averaging 18.5 points per game. Aces rookie C A'ja Wilson, the No. 1 overall pick in the WNBA draft this year, has been outstanding so far. The 6-4 Wilson is third in the WNBA in scoring (20.8) and fourth in rebounding (8.6). G Kayla McBride, who is averaging 17.2 points per game, scored a season-high 27 vs. the Liberty.

Numbers: The Lynx have won the past 10 regular-season games in the series. The Aces haven't won more than eight games in a season since going 16-18 in 2014.

Injuries: Aces G Moriah Jefferson (knee), who hasn't played yet this season, was cleared to practice Wednesday but isn't expected to play until early July.
