Game 4 preview

7:30 P.M. at Indiana • Bankers Life Fieldhouse • ESPN, 106.1-FM

Lynx update: The message Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve started delivering shortly after Maya Moore's buzzer-beating three-pointer gave the Lynx an 80-77 victory Friday? Let that go and focus on Sunday. "Indiana is so resilient," Reeve said. "They've been in a ton of elimination games. They're a tough out.'' For the Lynx to win Sunday, they'll likely need to reassert themselves in the paint. After having a sizable edge there in a Game 2 victory, the Lynx were outscored in the paint Friday. C Sylvia Fowles got her second double-double of the series Friday and is averaging 17.7 points and 10.3 rebounds. But, after scoring eight points in the first half, Fowles took just two shots and scored three points in the second half. F Moore scored 24 points in 22 minutes Friday. Again, G Anna Cruz and G Renee Montgomery were key off the bench, combining for 22 points and seven assists.

Fever update: This situation is nothing new for the Fever. Indiana has faced four elimination games this postseason. But it will take better execution late to win another. The Fever has had offensive breakdowns at the end of the past two games, both losses. Saturday, after G Briann January hit a 15-foot jumper with 2:08 left to give Indiana a three-point lead, the Fever did not score again. January is the Fever's leading scorer in this series, averaging 17 points, but has scored just six points in the second halves of the past two games. F Tamika Catchings has shot just 6-for-20 the past two games.
