Lynx update: The Lynx (5-2) are coming off Sunday's loss to Tulsa at Target Center, which marked the first time in 50 games under coach Cheryl Reeve that the Lynx shot better than 50 percent and lost. No surprise then that the focus of practice this week was on defense. The Lynx beat Seattle by 24 points at Target Center on June 11. They held the Storm to 38.1 percent shooting while getting 46 points from the bench. That included a career-high 15 points from Tricia Liston, who led five scorers in double figures. The Lynx are 2-for-19 on three-pointers in two losses and 21-for-60 in wins. F Rebekkah Brunson has averaged 15 points and 9.0 rebounds in her past two games; G Seimone Augustus has scored in double figures in every game this season and shot better than 50 percent in her past five. Augustus, experiencing knee pain, was able to practice Wednesday and is expected to play Thursday.

Storm update: The Storm's only wins are against winless Los Angeles. Top draft pick G Jewell Loyd went 2-for-20 in her first two games. Since then she is 10-for-23. F Crystal Langhorne leads the team in scoring (10.5 points per game) and rebounds (6.7 per game). The Storm (2-4) is 11th in the league in scoring (65.2 ppg.).
