Lynx update: The Lynx (21-6) beat league leader Phoenix 75-67 at home Thursday to extend their winning streak to eight games while snapping the Mercury’s 16-game run. Phoenix (22-4) is now just 1½ games ahead of the Lynx in the Western Conference. F Maya Moore had a game-high 20 points while F Rebekkah Brunson recorded a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds. Moore is the WNBA’s leading scorer (24.1 ppg) and also ranks fifth in steals (2.0). G Lindsay Whalen is second in assists (5.6).

Shock update: Tulsa is coming off a Thursday home loss to Atlanta, 85-75. The Shock (10-18) are ahead of only Seattle in the Western Conference standings, 13 games out of first place. G Odyssey Sims led Tulsa with 22 points Thursday. G Skylar Diggins is second behind Moore in league scoring (20.6) and fourth in assists (5.1). C Courtney Paris ranks first in rebounds (10.1) while teammate F Glory Johnson is third (9.5). Paris is also third in field goal percentage (59.3).
