As you might expect, early in camp, with most of the regulars not yet here, some of the execution on Lynx practice has been a bit off.

So it's a good thing coach Reeve, coming back from back surgery, has learned to relax a little. Or not.

Take Monday, for example. "It's good my sutures are out," Reeve said. "Because I blew a gasket on some of our turnovers. I'm sure they would have popped had they still been there. ''

Here are some nuggets from today's workout:

--Brazilian center Damiris Dantas has looked pretty good the past two days, despite knowing almost no English. She has proved to be a hard-nosed defender with a decent face-to-the-basket offensive game. Reeve carries around a piece of paper prepared by Lynx and Timberwolves stat guru Paul Swanson. On it are a number of basketball words along with their Portuguese translation. For example: Rebound = ressalto. "It's my cheat sheet," Reeve said. "I call it my starter kit.''

--Reeve is still looking for second-year guard Lindsey Moore to show she's ready to take a jump in her play, something that has become more important with Monica Wright on the shelf for a while after arthroscopic surgery.

--With that surgery in mind, Reeve said that, at this point, recently-signed veteran guard Tan White would be the first guard off the bench in the team's rotation.

That's about it for now.
