Meet the Lynx draft picks

  • Updated: April 15, 2014 - 6:45 AM

TRICIA LISTON

GUARD-FORWARD, Duke

First round, 12th overall

The 6-1 sharp-shooter was one of just two players in Division I to shoot over 50 percent from the field overall (52.5), 45 percent or better on three-pointers (45.9) and 85 percent or better on free throws (85.2). She can play both shooting guard and small forward, making her a good bet to compete for the spot held by Rachel Jarry last year. Duke’s all-time leader in three-point shooting, she averaged 17.2 points and 5.2 rebounds per game as a senior. Was a high school teammate of current Lynx player Devereaux Peters at Fenwich High School in Oak Park, Ill.

ASYA BUSSIE

CENTER, WEST VIRGINIA

Second round, 15th overall

After missing the 2012-13 season because of a knee injury, the 6-4 Bussie returned with a strong senior season in which she averaged 12.9 points, 7.8 rebounds and two blocks per game for the Big 12 regular- season champions. She was named to the all-Big 12 first team and to the conference’s all-defensive team. She finished her career as West Virginia’s all-time leader in consecutive starts (137) and No. 2 shot blocker.

CHRISTINA FOGGIE

GUARD, VANDERBILT

Second round, 24th overall

Finished her college career as the most prolific three-point shooter in Vanderbilt history. Scored in double figures in 85 games. Was named first-team all-SEC by the Associated Press. She’s 5-9.

ASIA TAYLOR

FORWARD, LOUISVILLE

Third round, 36th overall

An undersized post player (6-1), Taylor finished second to Shoni Schimmel in scoring for Louisville at 10.8 points per game, to go with a team-high 7.2 rebounds. Also had 53 steals and 23 blocks. Came back from a hip injury that forced her to take a medical redshirt for the 2012-13 season. Led team with 102 offensive rebounds and also averaged better than two assists per game.
