Lynx forward Rebekkah Brunson was named to the WNBA’s all-defensive second team, an award selected by the league’s 12 head coaches.

In her 10th WNBA season and her fourth in Minnesota, Brunson averaged 10.6 points and 8.9 rebounds this season, matching her own single-season record with 12 double-doubles; Brunson now has 41 double-doubles in a Lynx uniform.

Brunson was named to the all-defensive first team in 2011 and was named to the second team in 2007, 2008 and 2010. Here are the teams:

Tamika Catchings, forward, Indiana Fever

Angel McCoughtry, forward, Atlanta Dream

Sylvia Fowles, center, Chicago Sky

Armintie Herrington, guard, Atlanta Dream

Tanisha Wright, guard, Seattle Storm

Rebekkah Brunson, forward, Minnesota Lynx

Glory Johnson, forward, Tulsa Shock

Erika de Souza, center, Atlanta Dream

Briann January, guard, Indiana Fever

Jia Perkins, guard, San Antonio Silver Stars

Danielle Robinson, guard, San Antonio Silver Stars

I will jump back and add onto this blog after talking with Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve pre-game
