Lynx at a glance: After a 5-0 start, Minnesota has gone1-6. The Lynx are coming off an uninspired 72-65 loss Saturday at home to Houston. The Lynx shot 27.5 percent from the floor and trailed 17-6 after one quarter. Rookie guard Candice Wiggins, as a reserve, is second on the team in minutes played and is creeping up on Seimone Augustus in scoring. Augustus is averaging a team-high 18.8 points per game, Wiggins 17.5. Point guard Lindsey Harding (knee) played in her first two games last weekend and struggled. She went 1-for-13 from the field and had six turnovers compared with two assists.

New York at a glance: The Liberty (6-5) set a franchise record for points in beating Phoenix 105-72 on Sunday. New York’s bench had 62 points, an WNBA high this season. Most of New York’s scoring comes from its front-line, 6-1 forward Shamika Christon averages 13.7 points per game, 6-2 center Janel McCarville 11.6 and 6-4 forward Cathrine Kraayeveld 10.2. The Liberty beat the visiting Lynx 77-76 on June 14. Minnesota, which trailed by 16 points, had a chance to win at the buzzer but Wiggins’ shot missed. New York leads the all-time series with the Lynx 11-5 and has won the past six games.
