Lynx forward Maya Moore is making a name for herself in the world's most populated country.

Moore scored 60 points as Shanxi Xing Rue edged Yunnan 91-88 in overtime on Saturday in the Chinese Women's Basketball Association. She made 19 of 43 shots from the field, including nine three-pointers, and 13 of 17 free throw attempts.

The 6-foot Moore also had a game-high 13 rebounds for the Flame, a team based in the city of Taiyuan. Zhang Wei was the only other player for Shanxi in double figures, with 10 points.

Moore, who had a season-high 29 points for the Lynx this WNBA season, is averaging 43.6 points and 15.3 rebounds in three games for Shanxi. She has been in China for about two weeks.

"China was a great opportunity, a new frontier," Moore said shortly after signing with Shanxi in June. "They are starting to develop more and more teams that will bring in some foreigners -- we are foreigners now -- over there. I think I can take advantage of a lot of things on the court and off the court."

Moore has a shoe contract with the Jordan Brand, and there are a lot of feet in China.

Last winter Moore played in Spain for Ros Caseras, which won the Spanish and EuroLeague titles.

Shanxi, which moved up to the CWBA this season, also made another high-profile move this summer besides adding Moore. It hired Lucas Mondelo, the Spanish national team coach.
