The Lynx have signed guard Anna DeForge and restricted free-agent center Nakia Sanford, two free agents with a combined 11 seasons of WNBA experience.
The 5-10 DeForge averaged 8.7 points and 3.3 rebounds for Indiana last year in regular-season play. She shot 41 percent on three-pointers.
Sanford, 6-4, had her best season out of five last year. She averaged 11 points and 7.1 rebounds for Washington. The Mystics have five days to match the Lynx offer.
DeForge played at Niagara (Wis.) High School.
"I am excited to be joining the Minnesota Lynx organization," she said, "and I hope to have the opportunity to finish my career here, just a few hours away from my hometown."
Said Lynx assistant coach Julie Plank: "Anna DeForge is a huge signing for our organization. She is a great shooter, one of the very best in the WNBA from beyond the arc."
Etc.• The Saints acquired first baseman Jason Colson from the Brockton Rox of the Can-Am League for a player to be determined. Colson, 29, spent last season with Calgary of the Northern League, where he hit .290 with 16 home runs and 89 RBI in 96 games. He was traded to Brockton after the season.
