Lynx vs. Seattle: Looks like a mismatch

Two teams apparently heading in different directions meet at 6 p.m. Sunday at Target Center.
The host Lynx are 3-0 and have won their last six regular-season games -- or nine games in a row if you look at the playoffs. The defending WNBA champions can match their best start (4-0 in 2008) in club history if they win again.
The Storm (0-2) is missing its best player, Lauren Jackson, who is training with the Aussies for the Summer Olympics.
So coach Brian Agler has brought in aging veterans Tina Thompson from Los Angeles and Ann Wauters from Europe. Wauters has not played in the WNBA since 2009 when she was with San Antonio.
Last winter Wauters played with Lynx forward Maya Moore on Ros Casares, the EuroLeague champion from Spain. The previous two seasons, the 6-4 center from Belgium played in Russia..
'MONE MONEY
Seimone Augustus is averaging 22 points and shooting 61.7 percent from the field. She is also averaging a craeer-high 4.7 rebounds even though she has moved from small forward to shooting guard.
She has Led the Lynx in scoring all three games.
RECORD AT STAKE
Seattle coach Brian Agler will become the most winning coach in American women’s professional basketball history if the Storm beat the Lynx.
Agler is tied now with Van Chancellor, the former Houston Comets coach, at 211. Agler won 72 games in the old American Basketball League and has 139 in the WNBA.
Agler was the first head coach of the Lynx from 1999-2002, compliling a 42-54 mark. He has coached the Storm since 2008 and has a record of 101-53 with them, counting playoffs. His 2010 team was 28-6 during the regular season and 7-0 in the playoffs en route to the league title.
Before he began his WNBA career, he coached the Columbia Quest of the ABL from 1996-99. The Quest won ABL titles in 1997 and ‘98.
The Storm have three of the top four scorers in WNBA history. Thompson is first with 6,776 in 16 seasons. Retired Lisa Leslie of L.A. is next with 6,263, followed by two Storm players, Katie Smith 6,026 and Jackson with 5,915.
Australia has earned the silver medal in the past three Summer Olympics.
2011 RECAP
The Lynx were 3-1 vs. the Storm last season:
Lynx 81, Seattle 74 on June 9 at KeyArena: Lynx scored first 22 points of the game. Rebekkah Brunson had 22 points and 14 rebounds. Sue Bird led Storm with 24 and Swin Cash, since traded, had 18.
Seattle 65, Lynx 55 on June 24 at KeyArena: Camille Little had 16 points to pace Storm, who ended Lynx’s five-game winning streak. Seimone Augustus had 17 points for Lynx, Amber Harris 11 and Lindsay Whalen 10.
Lynx 69, Seattle 62 on July 16 at Target Center: Lynx outscored Storm 24-2 in a run that started in the second quarter and went into the third. Augustus had 14 of those 24 points and finished with a game-high 19. Tanisha Wright had 18 points and Cash 16 for the Storm.
Lynx 92, Seattle 67 on July 29 at Target Center: The Lynx shot 56 percent in routing the Storm. Augustus and Candice Wiggins has 16 points apiece for the home team. Cash had 18 points and Le’coe Willingham, also since traded, had 14 for Seattle.
