Lynx at a glance: The two most dramatic Lynx victories this season came against San Antonio in the same week. Lindsay Whalen hit a shot with 1.5 seconds left as the Lynx (21-6) beat the Silver Stars 70-69 in Texas on July 31. Four days later, Taj McWilliams-Franklin scored with 1.3 seconds as the Lynx won 62-60 at Target Center. ... The Lynx had only three buzzer-beating shots in their first 12 seasons until those two. ... The magic number for the Lynx to clinch the Western Conference title is three over Phoenix. ... Guard Monica Wright had a season-high 13 points against Tulsa on Tuesday.

Silver Stars at a glance: That first stunning loss to the Lynx started San Antonio on a 2-8 tailspin. In six of those losses they have scored under 70 points. ... The Silver Stars (13-13) have fallen to fourth in the West -- the last playoff spot -- and Los Angeles is only 1 1/2 games behind them. San Antonio has lost its past four games. ... Forward Sophia Young scored 14 points in the Silver Stars' last game, a 63-55 loss at Seattle, to reach the 3,000-point milestone in her career. ... Guard Becky Hammon is averaging a game-high 16.1 points, but was 2-for-10 from the field against the Storm and had only four points. ... Rookie forward Danielle Adams, second in team scoring at 14.3 ppg, has not played since July 26 because of a right foot injury.
