Lynx attendance has been falling even faster than the WNBA average, with 46 percent of Lynx ticketholders (42,189 of 91,050) being no-shows in 2006. Here's a look at the decline in total attendance in the past three seasons, with the numbers reported to the league and to the Minneapolis City Council by the city's Community Development office, as well as the complimentary tickets distributed:
2004
Attendance figure reported to league: 126,108 (7,418 per game)
Attendance figure reported to city: 117,290 (6,311 per game)
Complimentary tickets given away: 15,200 (13 percent of total reported to city)
2005
Reported to league: 113,447 (6,673 per game)
Reported to city: 109,300 (6,072 per game)
Comp tickets: 22,492 (21 percent)
2006
Reported to league: 109,522 (6,442 per game)
Reported to city: 91,050 (5,356 per game)
Comp tickets: 42,739 (47 percent)
