The Lynx signed six-time All-Star Taj McWilliams-Franklin on Friday. Terms were not disclosed.

The 6-2 forward has played for five teams.

"I played with her for three seasons in Connecticut," Lynx point guard Lindsay Whalen said in a news release. "We went to the WNBA Finals in two of those three seasons -- Taj played a huge role in our success. She's a legend of the WNBA, and I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to play with her again."

McWilliams-Franklin is second in WNBA history in rebounds, seventh in field goals, seventh in steals, seventh in blocked shots and 12th in scoring. She has played in 47 playoff games and been to the WNBA Finals three times. She won a league title with Detroit in 2008, when Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve was an assistant for the Shock.

"Taj has been one of the most versatile post players the WNBA has seen. She takes great pride in her defense, sets great screens, makes clutch shots and most importantly, she's a great leader," Reeve said.

McWilliams-Franklin, the NAIA national player of the year at St. Edward's University in Texas in 1993, began her professional career in 1996 when she was drafted by the Philadelphia Rage of the American Basketball League and competed for three seasons. She is playing for EuroLeague defending champion Spartak in Russia.

The Lynx have the No. 1 and No. 4 picks in the 2011 WNBA draft. Connecticut All-America Maya Moore is the likely No. 1 pick.
