• MINNESOTA DULUTH 8, MICHIGAN TECH 1: Justin Fontaine scored four goals -- including a hat trick in the second period -- and added an assist, and Brady Lamb added two more goals to help the Bulldogs trounce the Huskies in Duluth. Lamb scored the only goal of the first period before the Bulldogs scored four times in the second period and outshot Michigan Tech 20-3. UMD then scored three more times in the final period. Brett Olson scored the only goal for the Huskies late in the third period.
• ST. CLOUD STATE 3, NORTH DAKOTA 2: Travis Novak and Ryan Lasch scored less than 3 minutes apart in the opening period, and Huskies goalie Dan Dunn made 46 saves to help defeat the host Fighting Sioux.
• COLORADO COLLEGE 3, MINNESOTA STATE MANKATO 2: Ryan Lowery had a goal and an assist, and Stephen Schultz and Nate Prosser also scored on power plays for the Tigers in their defeat of the host Mavericks.
• WISCONSIN 6, ALASKA-ANCHORAGE 2: Ben Street scored twice and added an assist, and Badgers outshot the Seawolves 42-13 in Madison, Wis. Blake Geoffrion, Justin Schultz, Craig Smith and Patrick Johnson also scored for Wisconsin. Josh Lunden scored both UAA goals.
