CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - Terrence Holt scored two touchdowns, including a 71-yard punt return, and Austin Peay rallied to defeat Tennessee State 24-21 on Saturday.

Trailing 21-7, Holt scored on a 22-yard run with 11:32 left in the third quarter. After the Governors (4-6, 3-4 Ohio Valley Conference) recovered a Tennessee State fumble, they gained minus-1 yard and settled for a 43-yard field goal by Steve Stansell. Holt then scored on his punt return.

The Tigers (3-7, 2-4) took a 14-0 lead on Calvin McNairl's touchdown passes of 9 yards to Travis James and 22 yards to Marquez Wilkens. After Jontamion Forrest scored on a 3-yard run for Austin Peay, McNairl threw his third scoring strike, 7 yards to Ronald Bright, to finish with 189 yards on 17-for-23 passing.

Ryan White paced the Governors with 114 yards on 27 carries for his fourth 100-yard game of the season.
