CLINTON, S.C. - A.J. Toscano threw four touchdowns as Charleston Southern earned a 46-32 win over Presbyterian on Saturday.
Toscano completed 18 of his 32 pass attempts. He also rushed for a touchdown, and tied a school record with five touchdowns in a game. Gerald Stevenson added 149 receiving yards and two touchdowns on 10 catches for the Buccanneers (4-5, 2-2 Big South Conference).
The Blue Hose (0-9, 0-4) were paced by Lance Byrd, who rushed for 274 yards and two touchdowns. Byrd, a freshman, broke the school record for rushing yards in his first career start.
Presbyterian finished with 530 total yards, but quarterback Tim Webb threw four interceptions, the first of which was returned 100 yards by Antwain Harvey for a touchdown.
