Last update: November 7, 2009 - 5:29 PM

HANOVER, N.H. - Greg Patton rushed for 245 yards and two touchdowns and broke Dartmouth's single-game rushing record in a 20-17 double overtime win over Cornell on Saturday.

Patton, who finished with 29 carries, surpassed Al Rosier who set the previous record with a 229-yard rushing game against Brown in 1991. Patton also had scoring runs of 52 and 13 yards.

The Big Green (2-6, 2-3 Ivy League) pulled ahead 20-17 in the second overtime on Foley Schmidt's 40-yard field goal. The Big Red (2-6, 1-4) could've send the game into a third overtime, but Brad Greenway missed a 36-yard field goal.

Cornell led 10-0 in the fourth quarter on Ben Ganter's 16-yard touchdown pass to Ben Moody and Greenway's 25-yard field goal. Ganter went 18-for-33 for 133 yards, including an 8-yard touchdown pass in the first OT.

Schmidt's 26-yard field goal with 2:17 to play sent the game into overtime.
