Defenseman Ryan Collins is leaving the Gophers after three seasons to sign with the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Columbus announced Wednesday that Collins signed a three-year, entry level deal and will join the Cleveland Monsters of the American Hockey League for Friday's game at Milwaukee.

Collins, 20, had four goals and 18 assists in 98 games with the Gophers. The Bloomington native was taken in the second round (47th overall) by the Blue Jackets in the 2014 NHL draft.
