Five relays, four swimmers and two divers for the Gophers will compete in the four-day NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships in Indianapolis which open Wednesday.

"It's always exciting when you have all five relays," Gophers coach Kelly Kremer said.

Three-time All-America Matt Barnard will compete in all three diving events.

Individual swimmers entered, in six events total are Bowe Becker, Jakub Maly, Conner McHugh and Eric Sande.

Dragon honored

Minnesota State Moorhead guard Aaron Lien was named to the 16-player National Association of Basketball Coaches' Division II All-America team. The Moorhead, Minn., native led the Dragons in scoring (18.1 points per game) and rebounding (5.5).

Hall honors seven

Five coaches, one athlete and one contributor to the sport as an official will be inducted into the David Bartelma Wrestling Hall of Fame on April 29 at McKinney's on Southside in Benson, Minn.

The inductees are Russ Holland, Park Center coach from 1976-93 and 1997-2007; Bill Germann, Eden Prairie coach from 1977-98; Jim Nunn, co-head coach at Minnetonka from 199-2012 and before that coach at four other metro schools; Richard Saxlund, coach at Pipestone from 1967-96 and a three-time NCAA Division II champion at North Dakota State; Mark Voyce, assistant, co-head coach or coach at Hayfield from 1986-98 and 2007-11; Tom Press, an All-Big Ten wrestler twice for the Gophers and a five-time national Greco-Roman champion; and Bill Olson, an official for 30 years.

• Junior golfer Riley Johnson finished 12th at the Valspar Collegiate Invitational, as did the Gophers. Johnson closed with a 73 for a 2-over 215.
