P.J. Fleck's first recruiting class with the Gophers football team continues to evolve heading into Wednesday's national signing day.

On Monday, the Gophers flipped one commit from Purdue — Ohio high school lineman Malcolm Robinson — while a Minnesota commit flipped to Iowa.

Trey Creamer, a three-star cornerback from Cartersville, Ga., had committed to the Gophers under former coach Tracy Claeys and then reopened his recruiting after Claeys was fired. Creamer also had strong interest from Rutgers and a reported offer at one point from Oklahoma.

The 6-3, 280-pound Robinson, who played offensive guard and defensive tackle at Massillon (Ohio) Washington High School, is a consensus three-star recruit who also had a reported offer from Virginia.

As of Monday night, the Gophers had 27 players committed.

One player still waiting to announce his decision was Hopkins defensive end Boye Mafe, whose choice was reportedly down to the Gophers and Rutgers. Former Gophers coach Jerry Kill has been in town recruiting Mafe for the Scarlet Knights, and Fleck has been working to keep him home.
