With NBA free agency set to begin Friday, several teams are lining up in the Kevin Durant sweepstakes. It has been reported that he plans to meet with at least five teams in addition to his current team, the Thunder — the Celtics, Warriors, Clippers, Heat and Spurs.

Durant has said he is going to make "a basketball decision" when deciding what to do in free agency. If that's the case, and his main motivation is winning a championship, one would at least have to consider the possibility that Durant will pick the Warriors.

And if he does, indeed, join Golden State — adding one of the 10 best players in the NBA to a roster that just set a league record for most regular-season victories and came within one game of back-to-back championships — well, that just wouldn't be fair.

Sure, it would fall well within the rules of free agency and the salary cap. But that team would be just about unbeatable.
