Reggie Lynch and Davonte Fitzgerald will be juniors on the Gophers roster next fall. Here's more about each player:

Reggie Lynch

6-9, 260 pounds • Center

From: Edina

At Illinois State: Lynch had a tremendous sophomore season defensively. He was a finalist for the national defensive player of the year award (Lefty Driesell Award) while leading the nation in block percentage. He was on the all-conference defensive team and second-team all-conference. He also earned Missouri Valley Conference all-tournament team honors. He finished in the top 10 in the conference in field-goal percentage (50.9) and had 25 dunks. A year earlier, he set the freshman conference record for blocks in a season. His offense grew slightly between seasons, going from 8.3 to 9.5 points per game.

Davonte Fitzgerald

6-8, 205 pounds • Forward

From: Atlanta

At Texas A&M: He had a strong freshman season — playing in 26 games, four starts, and averaging 7.3 points per game — before injuring his knee. In his first SEC game, he led all scorers with 17 points against Arkansas. He scored in double figures eight times that season. He had a rocky comeback season his sophomore year, averaging only 3.5 points and starting only twice. He made over 30 percent of his three-point attempts both seasons.
