Wisconsin coach Paul Chryst said Tuesday that he feels good about where quarterback Joel Stave is health-wise, heading into Saturday's game against Minnesota. Stave was knocked from last week's loss to Northwestern after a crucial late-game sack.
Likewise, Gophers quarterback Mitch Leidner said he is full go for practice this week. Leidner had a walking boot on his left foot after Saturday's win over Illinois. Coach Tracy Claeys had said the team might limit Leidner's practice reps this week, just to save his legs, but Leidner said he'll be upset if he has to miss any reps. It's Axe Week.
I'll have more off today's news conference in tonight's first editions.
