Big Ten's big game

Last update: November 20, 2008 - 7:48 PM

No. 17 Michigan State (9-2, 6-1) at

No. 7 Penn State (10-1, 6-1)

2:30 p.m., Saturday, Ch. 5

A victory by the Nittany Lions would send them to the Rose Bowl for the first time since the 1994 season, when Penn State finished 12-0. The Nittany Lions have won seven consecutive at home. MSU has had a bye week to get healthy, rest up and prepare for this game. The matchup features a couple of Big Ten MVP candidates: Nittany Lions QB Daryll Clark and Spartans running back Javon Ringer. Michigan State is 0-7 at Happy Valley since Penn State joined the Big Ten in 1993.
