In a brief ceremony before the game, the Eagles unveiled their 2008 national championship banner over center ice. Ben Street gave the Badgers a 4-3 lead 80 seconds into the third period, but Brian Gibbons tied it minutes later with a shorthanded goal.
• BOSTON UNIVERSITY 5, NORTH DAKOTA 1: Nick Bonino had a goal and two assists, and the host Terriers defeated the Fighting Sioux in the Ice Breaker Invitational. Colin Wilson and Jason Lawrence each added a goal and an assist for BU.

• COLORADO COLLEGE 1, ALABAMA-HUNTSVILLE 0: Chad Rau scored with 38 seconds left in the second period for the Tigers in Colorado Springs.
