• BOSTON COLLEGE 5, WISCONSIN 4: Freshman Cam Atkinson scored with 6:30 left in regulation to complete the Eagles' banner-raising night Friday with a victory over the Badgers in the season openers for both schools. In a brief ceremony before the game, the Eagles unveiled their 2008 national championship banner over center ice. Ben Street gave the Badgers a 4-3 lead 80 seconds into the third period, but Brian Gibbons tied it minutes later with a shorthanded goal.
• BOSTON UNIVERSITY 5, NORTH DAKOTA 1: Nick Bonino had a goal and two assists, and the host Terriers defeated the Fighting Sioux in the Ice Breaker Invitational. Colin Wilson and Jason Lawrence each added a goal and an assist for BU.
• MINNESOTA STATE MANKATO 5, BEMIDJI STATE 2: Mike Louwerse scored two goals and the Mavericks opened by beating the Beavers. Justin Jokinen's second-period goal broke a 2-2 tie.
• ST. CLOUD STATE 7, MERCYHURST 2: Garrett Roe had had a goal and four assists, and the host Huskies opened with a rout of the Lakers.
• MINNESOTA DULUTH 2, LAKE SUPERIOR STATE 2: Josh Meyers scored the tying goal at 2:17 of the third period, and the Bulldogs came back to tie the host Lakers at the Superior Showcase.
• COLORADO COLLEGE 1, ALABAMA-HUNTSVILLE 0: Chad Rau scored with 38 seconds left in the second period for the Tigers in Colorado Springs.
• NORTHERN MICHIGAN 5, MICHIGAN TECH 2: Andrew Cherniwchan had two goals and an assists for the host Wildcats in Marquette, Mich.
