A trio of Gophers swept the Big Ten Three Stars of the Week honors on Tuesday after leading the program to back-to-back regular-season championships with a pair of wins, last weekend.

Sophomore forward Hudson Fasching claimed the First Star of the Week, senior forward Kyle Rau was the Second Star, and junior goaltender Adam Wilcox the Third Star.

Fasching scored six points (three goals, three assists) against Penn State, with a career-best four-point night of two goals and two assists in Saturday's finale. He finished the series with a plus-six rating and has scored in eight of the last 11 games.

Rau had five points, including both game-winning goals in his final series at Mariucci Arena. He had a goal and two assists on Friday night, and his goal on Saturday clinched the Big Ten title for a second straight year. The Gophers are 41-4-0 when Rau scores multiple points in a game.

Wilcox made 47 saves and held the Nittany Lions to just two goals over the weekend, highlighted by his fifth shutout of the season and 12th career shutout in Friday's 5-0 victory. He is one shutout shy of the program record.

The top-seeded Gophers earned a first-round bye in the Big Ten hockey tournament and play in Friday's 3:30 p.m. semifinal at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. They'll play the winner of Thursday's quarterfinal game between No. 4 Penn State and No. 5 Ohio State.

No. 3 Michigan and No. 6 Wisconsin play Thursday night for a spot in the second semifinal against No. 2 Michigan State on Friday night.
