The WCHA regular-season champion Gophers, coming off a first-round sweep of Minnesota State Mankato, will face fifth-seeded Bemidji State in the first women's WCHA tournament semifinal at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ralph Engelstad Arena in Grand Forks, N.D.
Bemidji State (20-16-1) advanced to face the Gophers (31-2-4) after beating host Minnesota Duluth 2-1 in overtime in Game 3 on Sunday.
No. 2 seed Wisconsin (26-6-4) and No. 3 seed North Dakota (22-11-3) will play in the second semifinal.
St. Mary's wins in two OT
St. Mary's earned the final berth in the MIAC men's hockey tournament final with a 4-3, two-overtime victory over Concordia (Moorhead) in Winona, Minn. The game had been postponed from Saturday because of mechanical problems at the rink.
Martin Gruse scored the winner at 1:05 of the second overtime for the Cardinals (15-9-2), who will be host to Hamline on Saturday in the first MIAC hockey final for St. Mary's in 20 years.
St. Cloud wrestlers second
Clint Poster (157 pounds) and heavyweight Austin Goergen won titles for top-ranked St. Cloud State at the NCAA Division II Super Regional wrestling meet in Mankato.
The Huskies placed second in the regional with 109 points, five fewer than second-ranked Maryville. Host Minnesota State Mankato, led by 165-pound champion Cody Quinn, placed seventh (72). Also advancing for the Huskies to the Division II national meet March 13-14 in St. Louis were Tim Prescott (125 pounds), Mike Rhone (133), Larry Bomstad (149) and Gabe Fogarty (165).
U softball drops two
The Gophers softball team lost 10-5 to Fordham and 1-0 to Alabama-Birmingham at the Citrus Classic in Orlando. The victory by UAB pitcher Cara Goodwin marked only the third time the Gophers have been shut in the past 74 games.
Fordham scored nine runs in the first inning, but Gophers freshman Kylie Stober came on in relief and quieted the Fordham bats, allowing only one unearned run in six innings.

• The Minnesota Swarm (3-5) fell behind by four goals in the first period and never made up the ground, falling 21-15 Saturday night in Vancouver (4-4) in a National League Lacrosse game.
• The Gophers placed second to third-ranked Stanford on Saturday in a men's gymnastics meet with the host Cardinal and California. Ellis Mannon won the pommel horse.
