Minnesota (22-6, 11-5 Big Ten): Coach Marlene Stollings said one more victory will solidify the Gophers' hold on an NCAA tournament bid, and it would equal a milestone as well. The Gophers have won 22 regular-season games for the third time in program history, and one more victory will tie the program record of 23 regular-season wins, set in 1980-81 and equaled in 2002-03. While center Amanda Zahui B. leads the team with 18.6 points and 12.7 rebounds per game, Shae Kelley (16.6 points, 9.1 rebounds) and Carlie Wagner (12.5 points) have heated up. Kelley is averaging 23 points in the past four games, and Wagner is averaging 18. The Gophers beat Nebraska 72-69 at home Dec. 29 when the Huskers were No. 12 in the Associated Press poll.

Nebraska (19-8, 9-7): The news went from bad to worse for the Huskers earlier this month. After guard Rachel Theriot injured an ankle on Feb. 3, the team lost four of five games, and the first-team all-Big Ten junior had season-ending surgery for a torn ligament on Feb. 19. Nebraska entered last week ranked No. 21 but fell out of the Top 25 after a 59-51 loss at Northwestern and a 67-64 victory at Indiana. The Huskers are 12-2 at home this season, with their only home losses to ranked teams, Maryland and Iowa. The team is led by senior forward Emily Cady (12 points, 10.4 rebounds per game) and senior guard Tear'a Laudermill (14 points, 3.7 rebounds).
