Brodzinski's hat trick leads Huskies

St. Cloud State goalie Charlie Lindgren had 23 saves and had a shutout going until Tyson Spink scored for Colgate — which had pulled its goalie — with 2 minutes, 48 seconds to go.

• NORTH DAKOTA 2, BEMIDJI STATE 1: Stephane Pattyn's shorthanded goal late in the second period was the game-winner as No. 2 UND edged the Beavers in Bemidji after losing 5-1 on Friday in Grand Forks. Myles Fitzgerald had a power-play goal for Bemidji State early in the third period.

• MINNESOTA STATE MANKATO 4, OMAHA 2: Trailing by two goals after one period, the visiting Mavericks scored four times in the second. Brad McClure got the game-winner at 16:27 of the middle period for No. 11 Minnesota State Mankato and Chase Grant got the fourth goal 2½ minutes later.

• PROVIDENCE 2, OHIO STATE 1 (OT): Brian Pinho scored at 4:15 of overtime as the No. 4 Friars edged the Buckeyes in overtime in the Big Ten/Big East Challenge one night after losing in an extra period. Logan Day had the other goal for Providence. Luke Stork scored for Ohio State, which was outshot 29-27.

• PENN STATE 7, CONNECTICUT 1: Taylor Holmstrom had two goals and one assist and his linemates, David Goodwin and Casey Bailey, each had one goal and two assists, as the Nittany Lions routed the Huskies. Penn State outshot UConn 42-29, including 18-8 in the second period when the home team scored five goals.
