Minnesota women's basketball coach Marlene Stollings' staff is complete. The latest addition is Fred Chmiel, who spent the past four seasons as an assistant at Penn State.

Chmiel will be the No. 2 assistant, responsible for scouting opponents and work with guards.

"It is such a privilege to have arguably the best defensive coordinator and scouting assistant in the game joining our program," Stollings said. "Fred's coaching accomplishments are phenomenal."

Chmiel helped the Lady Lions win three Big Ten regular-season titles in a row in his four years there and advance to three NCAA tournaments.
