Lynx at a glance: After facing Indiana on the road Thursday, the Lynx play at home against San Antonio tonight and Los Angeles on Saturday before taking a monthlong break for the Olympics. Those teams are two of the top three in the Western Conference. Minnesota is not in the top four and would miss the playoffs if the season ended now. ... Minnesota has one of the top 1-2 scoring punches in the league in Seimone Augustus and Candice Wiggins, who were averaging 19.2 and 17.1 points going into the Indiana game. But Minnesota has not had a consistent third scorer, and Wiggins was injured Thursday.

San Antonio at a glance: The Silver Stars (17-8) defeated Chicago at home on Thursday afternoon before flying to Minnesota. San Antonio is only 5-6 on the road. ... The Silver Stars are 1-2 against the Lynx this season. San Antonio lost to the Lynx 90-78 on June 8 at Target Center, beat them 73-65 at home on June 28, then lost to them 87-74 at home on July 19 when Augustus scored a season-high 30 points. ... Three players average in double figures: Sophia Young (18.3), Becky Hammon (17.3) and Ann Wauters (15.1).
