UW-Green Bay at a glance: The Phoenix (22-9) won their 16th consecutive Horizon League regular-season title before losing in the conference final to Wright State. The Phoenix is led by the backcourt of sisters Megan and Kaili Lukan from Ontario. Kaili leads a balanced scoring attack with 11.4 points a game, and Megan leads the team in assists. Tesha Buck (10.2 ppg), a freshman from Red Wing, is the third starting guard.

Gophers at a glance: Minnesota won seven of its last 10 games, including a 1-1 performance at the Big Ten tournament. Junior guard Rachel Banham led the Big Ten in scoring (22.0), and conference freshman of the year Amanda Zahui B. averaged 14.9 points and 11.5 rebounds while setting the school record for blocks (91).

Common opponents: Three. Purdue beat the Gophers at Williams Arena by 21 points, the Phoenix by four points in Green Bay. The Gophers beat Wisconsin three times; the Badgers beat the Phoenix in overtime. The Gophers beat Oakland by 36 points. Green Bay beat Oakland twice by an average of 15.5 points.
