For the second game in a row, the Gophers routed Minnesota Duluth by a 6-0 score Saturday in a women’s WCHA game at Ridder Arena.
The No. 1 Gophers (32-1-1, 26-1-1) took a 1-0 lead in the middle of the first period on freshman Kate Schipper’s goal.
The Gophers added three power play goals in the second period. Rachel Ramsey got the first in the seventh minute. Maryanne Menefee, who had a hat trick Friday, made it 3-0 in the 14th minute, and Milica McMillen scored with 12 second left.
Hannah Brandt had assists on all three of those goals.
Jordyn Burns and Dani Cameranesi scored in the third period, Cameranesi on a power play. The Gophers’ power play converted on four of nine chances.
Sophomore goalie Amanda Leveille made 10 saves for her 13th shutout of the season. Two goalies for UMD (13-13-6, 11-11-6-4) combined for 29 saves.
