Gophers at a glance: With an 82-64 dismantling of Northwestern with a strong finish on Saturday, Minnesota (17-9, 6-6) has now won four consecutive games — three on the road — and has climbed to .500 in Big Ten play. And this recent hot stretch couldn’t have come at a better time. The Gophers jumped 11 spots in the latest RPI poll to No. 30 with four potentially difficult contests left in the regular season. But Minnesota is now on the right side of many prognosticators’ NCAA tournament bubbles. … The Gophers have shot 50.7 percent over the recent winning streak. … Rachel Banham, who had 32 points against Northwestern, is averaging a league-high 23.9 points in Big Ten play while Amanda Zahui B. is averaging 11.8 rebounds, second in the conference.

Purdue at a glance: The No. 21 Boilermakers (18-7, 8-5) come to the Barn following two of their largest comebacks in program history. Purdue trailed by 14 at Michigan on Feb. 9, but won 65-56. And returning home on Sunday, senior Courtney Moses hit a pair of free throws with 6.9 seconds left to give the Boilermakers a 74-73 win over Iowa after being down by as many as 18. … Moses, who had 25 points in the win over Iowa, leads Purdue in scoring at 14.8 points per game. … Purdue has won five in a row against Minnesota. Three of those victories came at Williams Arena by an average of 13 points.
