Gophers at a glance: Coming off their biggest victory of the season, the Gophers (15-5, 4-3 Big Ten) finished 2-2 in what figured to be their toughest stretch of the season — four consecutive games vs. top-15 teams — and sit in a tie for fourth place in the conference. G Andre Hollins is not expected to play after suffering a severe left ankle sprain in the opening seconds of Wednesday’s 81-68 victory over No. 9 Wisconsin. C Mo Walker stepped up big in that game, scoring 12 consecutive points to get the Gophers off to a strong lead, and finishing with a career-high 18 points and nine rebounds. He became the sixth Gophers player to lead the team in scoring this season. … The Gophers lead the league in steals per game (8.2) and free-throw percentage (.756).

Nebraska at a glance: The Cornhuskers (9-9, 1-5) got a huge lift Monday when they beat free-falling Ohio State at home, but followed up that with a big letdown, losing at Penn State for the Nittany Lions’ first conference victory. Nebraska led by nine in the second half but was outscored 11-4 in the final 2:24. The Huskers are eager to return back home — they have played just two of their first six league games there. … The Huskers’ past four games have all been decided by six points or fewer. … G-F Terran Petteway, a transfer from Texas Tech, leads Nebraska with 17.2 points per game and has cracked 20 points six times this season. … G-F Shavon Shields has averaged 9.3 rebounds in his last three games. … The Cornhuskers are averaging 15,151 fans per game in their first season at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
