Wisconsin -- After a dominating non-conference schedule, the Badgers opened the Big Ten with more dominance over Northwestern.

Ohio State -- The Buckeyes' defense has been masterful and the trend isn't stopping in league play, with OSU halting Purdue on New Year's Eve.

Michigan State -- The Spartans kept things rolling with a win over Penn State, but the real intrigue will come with tougher league opponents.

Iowa -- Sunday vs. Wisconsin should provide the biggest challenge yet for the upstart Hawkeyes.

Illinois -- The Illini are riding a high after wins over Missouri and Indiana in the last few weeks. Can they keep it up?

Michigan -- The Wolverines won their Big Ten opener without Mitch McGary or Glenn Robinson for most of the second half. Hard to not call that a steal.

Indiana -- The matchup against Illinois was an exciting one, but at the end of overtime, the Hoosiers came out on the wrong side of the score.

Minnesota -- Dropping a game that was entirely in their grips after injuries to Michigan's top two players was not a great start for the Gophers.

Purdue -- The Boilermakers fell to Ohio State in their opener but still, beware of Purdue on the boards, where they grab 14.3 offensive rebounds a game.

Penn State -- It's hard to overcome 38.5 percent shooting against Michigan State, which the Nittany Lions learned on Tuesday.

Nebraska -- What did the Huskers do wrong to start the year with road games at Iowa and Ohio State. It's like a rebuilding program can't get any breaks ...

Northwestern -- The Wildcats were tormented by Wisconsin and have yet to prove they don't belong in the league basement.
