Nobody should be too surprised that Minnesota has gone 0-for-3 in getting the three high school senior basketball stars who have been commanding national attention this season.
The shutout became complete Friday afternoon when Rashad Vaughn, the former Cooper star who is playing his senior season for Findlay Prep in Nevada, tweeted his final list of five schools.
In recent weeks, Apple Valley star Tyus Jones announced that would go to Duke and DeLaSalle standout Reid Travis chose Stanford.
Travis was the only one of the three who appeared to give the Gophers a serious look, keeping them as one of two finalists as he eliminated other schools.
