North Dakota State senior linebacker Grant Olson likely will be out for the season after suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.

Olson, who played at Wayzata High School, is the leading tackler for the top-ranked team in the Championship Subdivision this season. He also led the team in 2012. Olson was injured in the second half of NDSU’s 28-10 victory over Illinois State on Saturday. The Bison (9-0) are seeking a third consecutive FCS title.
