TIMELINE

1996 (approximately): Her father helps her hang a basketball hoop on a barn on the family farm.

2001: Leads her high school to the Wisconsin big-school finals and is named co-Wisconsin player of the year. That fall she begins playing for the University of Minnesota.

2003: On U.S. team that wins silver at Pan American Games.

2004: Leads Gophers to the Final Four.

2005: No. 1 pick in the WNBA draft by the Charlotte Sting.

2006-08: Plays for Good Angels Kosice in Slovakia.

2007: Claimed by the New York Liberty in the dispersal draft after the Sting folds and is named the league’s most improved player.

2008: Named Eastern Conference player of week twice.

2009-10: Plays for Spartak Moscow.

2010-12: Plays for Famila Schio in Italy.

2011-12: Skips WNBA season after being threatened with fines for missing Liberty training camp.

2012: Signs with Canik Belediyesi in Turkey.

2013: Traded to the Lynx.
