Gophers at a glance: Minnesota played about as well as it is capable of in a win over No. 1 Indiana on Tuesday, limiting turnovers (10), scoring off offensive rebounds and in transition, and getting a 21-point, 12-rebound performance from a very aggressive Trevor Mbakwe. Still, the Gophers continued some signature struggles, hitting just 20 percent of their shots from three-point range and finding themselves stagnant at times in the half court. Coach Tubby Smith also played a limited bench, with just four reserves getting minutes -- and was rewarded with a 16-point, 10-rebound performance from the group. ... Saturday marks the final home game of the season, and Smith said he will put all four of the team's seniors in the starting lineup: Mbakwe, Rodney Williams, Julian Welch and Andre Ingram.

Penn State at a glance: The Nittany Lions are certainly at a high point in their season after going from winless in the league to beating No. 4 Michigan. The incredible win is not expected to be a major turnaround for the program that is now 1-14 in Big Ten play, but it does show Penn State is making progress, as coach Patrick Chambers has implied for weeks. Jermaine Marshall led with 25 points in that game, while Ross Travis tied a career high of 15 points as the team shot 53.8 percent from the field in the second half.
