Gophers women's hockey goaltender Noora Raty won her 100th career game, tying an NCAA record, in Minnesota's 5-1 victory over Wisconsin in Madison on Sunday.

Raty, a senior from Espoo, Finland, stopped 22 of 23 shots and tied former Mercyhurst goalie Hillary Pattenden for most career victories. The top-rated Gophers (26-0) also won their 34th game in a row, extending their own NCAA record, and swept the No. 8 Badgers (15-9-2) in the season series for the first time since 1999-2000.

After Minnesota's Becky Kortum and Wisconsin's Madison Packer scored in the first period, the Gophers took a 2-1 lead at 16:31 of the first period on a goal by Hannah Brandt, her 25th of the season. They continued to pull away with a second- period goal by Kelly Terry and third-period scores by Rachel Ramsey and Megan Bozek.

The Gophers are one victory away from clinching the WCHA regular-season title. They face Minnesota Duluth at 6 p.m. Friday and 2:30 p.m. Saturday. Both games are at Ridder Arena, and Saturday's game will be televised on the Big Ten Network.
